Homework

Weekly Homework:

Weekly homework packets are given to students every Friday and returned the following Friday. Home Reading: The biggest part of learning is reading, reading, reading. Students need to read every day for a sustained amount of time. This will help them to become proficient. Reading Logs are an important part of tracking student reading time for grading too.

Math: Adding, subtracting and place value will be practiced everyday.

Science: Ecosystems around San Diego and the planet are a big part of our focus in the classroom. We will look at food webs, food chains and the life cycles. We will consider, " What are the producers, consumers and decomposers? and "How can I make a difference?"

Social Studies: People and places are investigated as we learn to get along with other cultures, unique and similar to ourselves.
