Every
Tuesday mornings at 8:45 students can meet for our school wide Garden Club.
We have planted vegetables and flowers.
The Jerabek Organic Garden is in need of some netting to create
a barrier from the rabbits. We are looking for things to
put in our composting bin, too. We need carbon-rich browns
and nitrogen-rich greens to aide in the composting process.
Composting replicates nature's natural system of breaking down
organic materials to become a source of nutrients for the soil.
***It is very important that students keep
practicing to write each telling sentences using a capital at
the beginning of each sentence and a
period at the end of each sentence.
Students continue to work hard...... reading,
writing and making science observations. We are planting
grasses of several types. We have planted rye grass,
alfalfa and wheat grass. Soon we will be building
terrariums for some living creatures! We are learning to
appreciate the life cycles that are all around us.
